Grand Lake O’ the Cherokees, in the northeast corner of Oklahoma, boasts over 1,300 miles of shoreline, and some of the best bass fishing in the state. The resort is located on a peninsula named Monkey Island, and nearby is "The Peninsula," formerly known as Shangri-La Resort, the home of two championship golf courses. Only seven miles long, the island features restaurants and shops, several marinas for watercraft rentals, horseback riding, and parasailing.
